Microeconomic Theory I

This course covers basic graduate-level microeconomic theory, including constrained optimization, theory of the household and the firm, decision-making under uncertainty, and general equilibrium analysis. *All Economics Department students registering in Economics 721 are required to complete the Economics 765 examinations which are held during the first week of September. To help students, the Economics Department offers a voluntary preparation camp in August. This camp is an intensive ten-day refresher course in mathematics that has been designed to help students succeed in the examinations.
