Concurrent Certificate and Diploma Programs

McMaster University offers its students an opportunity to receive elective credit towards an undergraduate degree at the same time as they accumulate credits towards certificate or diploma programs. Programs which may be of particular interest to students in Economics are the Diplomas in Accounting, Human Ressources Management, Management Studies and Multimedia Studies. Certificate programs are available in Information Technology and Applied Business Management (with a specialization in Human Resources Management).

These programs can be combined with both the BA in Economics and the BA in Honours Economics. More details about these programs and others offered at McMaster are in the section on Certificate and Diploma Programs in the Undergraduate Calendar.

Beginning September 2012, McMaster University and Mohawk College plan to launch a MohawkBusiness Studies Certificate for Social Sciences students.  To receive a Business Studies Certificate from Mohawk College, students will be required to complete 18 units of approved Social Science Business elective.  The first three of these courses will be offered in the 2011/2012 academic year.  For more information about this program see the following link.
