Mohawk Students' Association
The Mohawk Students´ Association works tirelessly for the full-time fee paying students of Mohawk College in order to bring you convenient, relevant services that add value to your experience here at Mohawk College. Many of these services are offered to you *FREE of charge, but are facilitated by your Student Activity Fee. In order to make use of these services, you must be a full-time fee paying student and have a valid Mohawk College Student Identification card.

Food Bank
The Mohawk Students' Association Food Bank is a discreet service available to all full-time fee paying students at Mohawk College. Food product includes frozen food, dry & canned goods. You may use the Food Bank three times monthly. Valid Mohawk College Student ID required.
Emergency Loans
The Mohawk Students' Association offers Emergency Loans to all full-time fee paying students at Mohawk College. If you're in a pinch for cash we will offer you a one-time (per semester) loan of up to $150. These interest free loans require minimal credit requirements but must be paid back by the agreed up on due date.
HSR Bus Pass
All full-time Mohawk College students at the Fennell, IAHS and STARRT campuses will receive a Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) bus pass which is included as a mandatory ancillary fee. This pass is valid from Sept to April and allows unlimited use of HSR services with no additional per use cost.
Health and Dental Plan
All full-time Mohawk College students pay a mandatory fee for a health and dental plan. This health and dental plan includes vision care, prescription coverage of 80%, travel insurance, regular dental care (cleaning, fillings, etc) and much more.
Legal and Credit Counseling
The Mohawk Students’ Association has legal and credit counselors on staff to assist with a wide variety of legal and financial issues that pertain to students. This service requires students to book appointments and is available at no charge.
Used Text Book Sale
The Mohawk Students’ Association operates a used text book sale each semester in order to assist students in selling their old text books and allowing other students to purchase their text books at a discounted rate. The MSA operates this service as a consignment sale keeping a minimal amount of the revenue to pay for operating expenses.
Part- time Employment Opportunities
From cashiers and cooks to security guards and office staff, the Mohawk Students’ Association employs over a hundred part-time students each year. These positions are located on campus and provide students with an employment opportunity and chance to gain work experience.
