Experience a Day Trip

 

In support of the efforts of the Crown Ward Championship Team, McMaster University and Mohawk College are pleased to invite students to campus for Trip Day events designed to share information about the opportunities offered at the university and college level and to provide exposure to the post-secondary environment with the hope that more Crown Ward students will pursue this path.

In the fall term, students in Grades 11 and 12 are invited to the McMaster and Mohawk campuses for a glimpse of campus life, to learn about academic expectations in a classroom and the environment in which they would be living and learning.  Students are given a free lunch, campus swag and clothing, information packages and leave feeling motivated and prepared to pursue a university or college experience.  Each spring, students in Grades 7 through 10 are invited for a similar experience with more focus put on the excitement and possibilities available through post-secondary achievement. 

Students who are interested in attending a trip should contact their social worker.  Information about each trip will be posted on this site as it’s available.
