In 2007-08 the Ministries of Children & Youth Services (MCYS), Education (MEDU), and Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) funded the development of partnerships among children’s aid societies (CAS), school boards, postsecondary institutions and employment services to establish Crown Ward Education Championship Teams across Ontario.
In 2008/09, the Crown Ward Education Championship Team was established in Hamilton/Brant/Haldimand-Norfolk. This website is a product of this team, which consists of the following agencies:

- Children's Aid Society of Hamilton
- Catholic Children's Aid Society of Hamilton
- Haldimand-Norfolk Children's Aid Society
- Children's Aid Society of Brant

- Brant-Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board
- Grand Erie School Board
