What kind of research Support is there?

    The Department of Political Science supports International Relations PhD research in a number of ways:

  • It assists students in competing for external scholarships by providing advice and guidance in applications.
  • The Department has a travel and conference fund which most PhD students can expect to draw upon once over their four years.
  • Students may participate in the joint SDF-Net foreign policy and defence seminars with York University.
  • Students are invited to participate in the activities of the Institute on Globalization and Human Condition. These include a working paper series, visiting speakers, essay prizes and research scholarships.
