Description:
Applications are invited for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank
of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2012, in the Department of
Economics at McMaster University. The Department has a particular interest
in the fields of international economics and macroeconomics, but
outstanding candidates from any field are welcome to apply. Preference
will be given to candidates who have completed their PhD or who expect to
complete their PhD requirements prior to July 1, 2012.
The Department of Economics is a research-intensive academic unit. The
appointee will be expected to conduct an independent research program
yielding significant peer-reviewed publications, attract peer-reviewed
research funding, teach undergraduate and graduate students and supervise
doctoral students.
All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadian
