Academic placements are unpaid community-based experiences that are part of an academic course, linking the theories learned in class to the diverse aspects of the community around you.
Academic Placements provide you an opportunity to:
- apply
classroom learning to practical, hands-on experiences;
- learn
more about and contribute to the community around you;
- develop
new skills under the supervision of someone more experienced;
- enrich
the classroom experience by allowing you to be an active participant in
your learning; and,
- expand your network of contacts and build your resume.

SOCIOL 3O03 – Qualitative Research Methods (Term 2)
SOCIOL 4K03 – The Sociology of At-Risk Youth (Term 2)
